History
In the late 19th century chemical plants were built at the feet of waterfalls in Alpine valleys, because electricity was difficult to convey. Georges Brun founded a company that would employ horse-drawn carts to transport products from the Romanche valley to the station at Vizille, south of Grenoble in south-east France. Since then, Brun has constantly developed its expertise in the field of transporting hazardous substances. Today, the company is still family-owned and run by Jean Yves Le Roux, the founder's great- grandson.
